Alongside baking cakes, cookies and muffins we also run adult and childrens cupcake workshops.

We love teaching others how to decorate cakes, offering a few tricks of the trade and seeing where people’s imaginations take them! We especially love working with kids as they come up with fantastic and often ambition designs.

During the Easter break in Coventry, we were invited by the lovely Tilly and Sam from Tinderbox Toys to run a Children’s workshop in their toyshop!

We’re normally used to running the children’s workshops as birthday parties hosted by parents in their own homes, so working in a toyshop was different experience for us.

We had six children booked in for our hour and a half afternoon session, comprising of five girls and one boy. We showed them how to make sugarpaste decorations, how to pipe buttercream and let them go wild with sprinkles and glitter.

They all had a great time and were able to take six of their creations home with them. What impressed us the most, was how many of the children had thoughtfully allocated each cake to a friend or family member and decorated them accordingly!
