When we’re not busy baking, looking after our families, updating Facebook, Tweeting and running workshops…..phew….we like to help and support other mums in business.

We do this through a networking group called ‘Mums the Boss‘ and meet on the first Tuesday of every month at Blue Bistro on Spon St in Coventry.

We’re on the verge of hosting our third Mums the Boss on 1st May and so far so good! Mums the Boss was originally launched by two mums in Bedfordshire. It’s now a nationwide organisation and we’re very pleased and proud to be running the Coventry branch.

During our meetings, we give mums the opportunity to network with other business mums whilst sampling some of our yummy cake. Each month we have a different speaker, usually someone who also runs their own business,and charge a nominal fee of just £6. Plus, Blue Bistro offer a 20% discount to anyone that stays for lunch.

Despite it being a mums group, we do encourage mums to find childcare for their little ones so that they can concentrate fully on the networking aspect. We do, however, allow babies under 6 months and breastfeeding children.

We’ve loved meeting new people and have established some good friendships, plus, we are starting to work with and promote each others services.
